I just have to share this because I'm reeling after this morning! Some people say that God doesn't do miracles today like he did back in biblical times. Well, I witnessed my very own miracle today. My Mom was told she had a blockage in her heart. They set up a heart cath, which took place this morning. The doctor said considering her family history, there was no way she was going to get off scot free. My Grandfather (her Dad), passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack when I was 6 months old and my Uncle (her younger brother) died unexpectedly due to complications of the heart and a blood clot in the lung almost 5 years ago. When we heard the news that she had a blockage, of course all thoughts turned to those two who God took so young in life.
Well, I'm here to tell you, God doesn't care one iota about family history, tests or statistics. God will heal those He chooses to heal, regardless of what us, here on earth, say or do. He will also take home those He chooses when we least expect it sometimes too. We all were figuring my Mom would end up with a stint and maybe even open heart surgery, just because of "family history". Not that we didn't have faith in what God could do or is capable of doing, but we just don't know God's will. Well, they went in this morning and found zero blockage! (Deep down, this is what I wanted to be praying, but I felt it was almost selfish to ask such a request. But really, is anything to big for our mighty God? NO!) My parent's Pastor was there with us and when we found out that there was no blockage and in fact, her heart looked so good, that the doctor said he wished he had her heart! I looked at their Pastor and said, "Now, is this a miracle or what?!" his reply, with a big smile, "It's always a miracle." Amen! To God be all the glory...
AND ALL GOD'S PEOPLE SAID AMEN AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!
