Ladies Tea

Last month my church held a ladies tea. I had the honor of decorating and hosting a table. We had a wonderful speaker named, Dianna Boehm. Dianna is a great speaker & she is comical! If this ladies ministry speaking thing doesn't work out for her, she could be a stand up comedian. Seriously, her message was great about how God is the potter and we are the clay, but she was able to throw in alot of laughs. I hate to compare her to Beth Moore, but she was alot like her. Dianna has had a lot of rough seasons in her life, but she has overcome them and gives God all the glory. It was a wonderful day spent with the ladies, enjoying petite sandwiches, scones, little sweets, lots of tea and hearing a great message. We even had sugar cubes for our tea. (All I could think of was Bugs Bunny having tea with the daft lion and Bugs Bunny asking him if he wanted 1 lump or 2! Do you remember that cartoon?!)

I had no idea what theme to make my table. I saw all kinds of neat ideas online when I did research. The only thing I could come up with was Americana. I have quite a few Americana items, so it was rather easy. I did buy a few extra things, like American flag decorated Tootsie Rolls, that I found at the Dollar Store! Score! As well as, Amercian themed napkins that I found at the Christmas Tree Shops for a buck. (I'm sounding pretty cheap here, aren't I?!) All the tables were unique and very nice! Each lady that decorated a table could decorate it any way she pleased. It was interesting to see all the different tables. Very neat idea!

For each place setting, each lady was given a little paper explaining her special name for the day. Here was mine, "Lady Mildred Hauver of Buffalo"! I wish we could of gone around and each lady share their name. I'm sure some of them were hilarious. The ones at my table were. Maybe next year they will kick it up a notch and ladies can really get into it and wear hats and such.

Your Ladies Tea looked like it was allot of fun.
All the tables were lovely, but you know how much I love Americana! go RED, WHITE AND BLUE.Food looked really good. If the speaker was anything like Beth Moore then I would have liked her. Pam,
I am very proud of all you are doing . To God be the Glory.
